The Curaçao Association of General Practitioners (CHV) focuses on improving healthcare in general and GP care in particular. This is done by promoting the professional development of its members through training, conferences and collaboration with other medical specialists.
The association works closely with various stakeholders, including the government, insurers, medical associations and other healthcare organizations. This collaboration and communication improves the quality of care and makes GP care more visible and recognizable. This allows the CHV to offer effective solutions for healthcare problems that arise and at the same time represent the interests of GPs.
Patient & Doctor
This section highlights on the relationship between patients and doctors. Here you will find, among other things: information about your GP and what to do if you need help after work hours.
The CHV believes it is important that you have access to reliable sources of information regarding your health.
For the Doctor
Over the years, the CHV has achieved many goals, overcome obstacles and improved primary care. You have undoubtedly experienced this dedication in the past year during the Covid pandemic. The CHV board is still working on strengthening primary care with major projects including a more specialized primary care, BIG registration, ICT and the Healthcare contract with SVB.
The CHV believes that strong primary health care is essential for our community. That is why we are constantly working on improving it and creating the greatest possible support. Recently, the members of the association, on the recommendation of the board, approved an adjusted contribution system with the aim of removing the financial threshold that existed for some colleagues to become a member. We would like to welcome you as a member of the association.
